A: A certified diamond has been graded by an independent lab for characteristics important to quality. Because these diamonds are graded objectively, buyers can feel confident that they are making an informed purchase.  A certificate is valuable but not the ultimate guide to a diamond’s total quality. There are many areas of quality that a certificate does not answer, like the way a light returns from a diamond.  You can only determine which diamond is best for you by seeing it.  The most important factor in your diamond purchase is buying from someone you trust.
